Skype is wonderful :-)
Just finished a more than two hours long Skype meeting with Ph.D.-student Farzana, who is currently doing her field studies in Bangladesh. Across time zones, skype is a very easy to use-tool for small group meetings like this. We had a very good session, even though electricity falls out from time to time in Chittagong. Thanks to generators the meeting can continue.
Collaboration with Søndervangskolen moves into a new phase
On Aug. 26th, Jacob Davidsen and I presented the work we have been doing in relation to their project “Learn and Move” to a group of teachers and school management.
We are still working on the report from the project. New things keep happening, and thnks to a grant from the Obelske Familie Fond, we are hopeful that we can continue our field studies at the school.
On Sept. 16th, we carried out field studies at Hvidovre Produktionsskole, related to our collaboration with Taleinstituttet. I visited the school with colleague Tom Nyvang, and two people from the project group at Taleinstituttet. We interviewed teachers, observed teaching and meetings, and got a very good impression of a very interesting school. Data will inform our further work in the Produktionsskoleprojekt, including the upcoming workshop on technologies for communication and collaboration on Oct. 9th.
